The 2022 Sketch Collection, Kim Jung Gi's latest sketchbook filled with masterful drawings created since 2018, is now available.  Originally scheduled for release in the summer of 2020, it was postponed due to the pandemic, but this provided Jung Gi with a unique opportunity. The result is 480 pages of mesmerizing illustrations. The pages are filled with sketches, portraits, caricatures, cityscapes, comics, and all kinds of real-life characters, whose lines are so dynamic that they almost seem to move towards you as they try to leave the page. The various techniques and colors add to its complexity, making it an excellent reference for artists and/or students.   Hardcover Pages: 480 Dimension: 11" x 8.5" x 1.6" Weight: 5.11 lbs ISBN: 978-2-38289-045-5 The book also includes a folded A2 poster.

Transcendent illustration book by two artists that represent Japan and Korea For the first time ever in history, Terada Katsuya and Kim Jung Gi have come together to create their masterpiece in this new book.  This book is a collection of fierce yet beautiful black lines and transcendent depictions of space.  Many readers might think, “Who drew what and how?” when looking through the art created by these two. Instead of showing the works of these two artists in a traditional art book format, the editor decided to let the artists create their images freely as they would in their sketchbooks. We hope you take your time to slowly absorb the energy of the lines and appreciate the beauty of the colors, rather than focusing on the logic. Softcover with Dust Jacket English Text Pages: 127 Colored and B&W It also includes their own respective works and interviews.

Behind the lens, documenting the sequence of events, there was the eyes of Steve McCurry, one of the most beloved photographers for its ability to tell the distant corners of the world by making them feel as neighbors reach.  "McCurry, NYC, 9/11" is a story about the life of photojournalist Steve McCurry, best known for his striking cover photo for National Geographic, depicting an Afghan girl with piercing sapphire green eyes. Steve McCurry was in New York on September 11, 2001.  Manhattan is his island, his home port between assignments as he crisscrosses the globe.   The Twin Towers were the focal point of his skyline.  He watched from afar as they fell, and then took in their absence from up close during the long days that followed.  He documented the incomprehensible and bore witness to the wounds of a city and its people.   Fifteen years later, Dupuis Editions, Caurette Editions, and Magnum Photos collaborate to consider that tragic day through the eyes of two great image creators:  humanist photographer Steve McCurry and gifted illustrator Kim Jung Gi. The resulting story, while rooted in the less of the World Trade Center, expands far beyond the boundaries of Ground Zero to include the photographer's extensive travels and the iconic images they have generated.  Steve McCurry, the "accidental" war photographer, has witnessed tragedy without losing his faith in humanity. By weaving links among the times and places he has seen, and augmenting the comic with his photos, this book brings us into the extraordinary would of a man who has observed it from the last century to the present day. This volume contains 64 of Steve McCurry's photos as part of the illustrated story, plus 12 additional photos, 8 of which are being published for the first time.
